Seville:
Let's Hit the Beach!

Print information
In Seville you can enjoy many sunny days during the year. Furthermore, along the magnificent river you can take walks and sunbathe.

But if what you are looking for is the beach , you also have it right at hand. Here we have some suggestions for some of the closest and best beaches on the Andalusian coast.

Note: The prices and schedules of the buses and trains often change. Confirm your schedule before travelling.

Huelva's beaches
Málaga's beaches
Beaches in Cádiz

The coast of Cádiz has some of the best beaches in Spain, with extremely fine sand where you can find mainly Andalusian and Spanish tourism.

These are long and wide beaches, with open ocean and sometimes strong winds. They are ideal for water sports: windsurfing, sailing, bodyboarding, kite surfing, etc.

These sports attract young people from all over. The atmosphere is more alternative at beaches like Conil, Tarifa or Los Caños de Meca and more family-oriented on the Cádiz city beaches or in Chipiona.

Huelva's Beaches

The beaches in Huelva are closer to Seville, they are found just an hour away. Sevillians visit Matalascañas and Punta Umbria most frequently.

In order to get there you will need to take the bus since there is no train that goes there from Seville. In any case, we recommend the direct routes, the distance is short and the service very good.

The common denominator of these beaches is their golden sand, the sand dunes, forests, and clean water.

The environment in this area is quite lively although less sporty than the beaches of Cádiz, and there is also mainly Spanish tourism there too.

Malaga's Beaches (Costa del Sol)

This coastline has turned into one of the most touristy and developed areas on an International level for many different reasons: the weather, the landscape, and most of all for its great amount of services especially for tourists: restaurants, discotheques, casinos, etc.

Even though they are farther away from Seville (about two and a half hours) they have a good train and bus connection. We suggest Málaga city because it is the closest and is the easiest to get to from Seville.
