One week every month (Tuesdays and Thursdays) we enjoy the
best films made in Spain and Latin America, with subtitles.
The films are preceded by a presentation made by a teacher
in which information is provided about some of the technical
(director, actors, production date, awards...) and artistic
(genre, style, cultural context) aspects of the movie.
After the film, there is a small discussion for those students
that are interested, to comment with the teacher on the most
relevant aspects, or ask any questions that they may have.
Each student is also given a small handout with information
(synopsis, biography, etc..) and some vocabulary, comprehension
and grammar activities related to the film.
In this film club students can see the most interesting, prize
winning and prestigious films of Spain and Latin America,
including the most recent hits, as we are always getting new
material. All the films are available at the DVD library for
free use of our students. Some of the films we play: |
